Directions:
Hey there! Let’s get baking some delicious cookies together! Here’s what you need to do:
- Start by preheating your oven to 375°F. This will get everything nice and hot for your cookies!
- In the bowl of your electric mixer, combine some shortening, sugar, and eggs. Mix it all up really well until it’s nice and creamy.
- Now it’s time to add in the dry ingredients. Just mix until everything is combined—you don’t want to overdo it!
- Grab a cookie scoop and scoop out your dough, rolling each scoop into a ball that’s about the size of a walnut. Fun, right?
- In a small bowl, mix together two tablespoons of sugar with some cinnamon until it’s all combined. This will make your cookies extra special!
- Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat it nicely. YUM!
- Place the coated balls on an ungreased cookie sheet, making sure to leave about 2 inches of space between each one—they’ll spread out while baking!
- Pop those cookie sheets in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. Keep an eye on them—they should be light brown and have a slightly cracked top when they’re done.
- Once they’re baked to perfection, take them out and let them cool on the pan for about 2 minutes. The smell will be amazing!
- Finally, transfer your cookies to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
Enjoy your wonderful homemade cookies! Happy baking! 🍪
