Chicken Cobbler Casserole Recipe
Equipment needed:
9×11 Baking Dish
Ingredients needed:
- 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 1 cup frozen carrots and peas
- 2 cups cheddar bay biscuit mix + seasoning packet
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups whole milk
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 10-ounce can of cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups of chicken broth
How to make this hearty Chicken Cobbler Casserole recipe:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Take your baking dish and pour in the melted butter, letting it spread evenly over the surface
Evenly distribute the shredded chicken over the melted butter
Layer the frozen peas and carrots on top
In a bowl mix together the cheddar bay biscuit mix, seasoning packet, garlic, pepper, salt, and oregano seasonings.
Add in the milk and stir with a fork or whisk together until combined.
Add in the cheese the bowl and mix together.
Pour the batter mixture evenly over top of the chicken and vegetables.
In another mixing bowl mix the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth together until combined.
To finish the casserole, pour this on top of everything, evenly across the baking dish.
Do not stir anything together, but place into the oven to back for 45 minutes.
Once out of the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and then dig into this glorified chicken pot pie dish!
Notes:
You can opt not to use the cheddar cheese in the mixture if you prefer a cheeseless casserole
