Halloween Coffin Charcuterie: A Spooky & Easy Party Snack

Looking for a spooky snack that’s easy to make but still brings plenty of Halloween fun to the table? This Halloween Coffin Charcuterie is such a cute way to turn everyday meats, cheeses, crackers, and fruit into a creepy-cute appetizer. Serving everything inside inexpensive coffin containers instantly gives a simple charcuterie snack a Halloween makeover—and the skeleton hands, vampire teeth, and spiders make it even more fun!

Coffin Charcuterie

I love Halloween recipes that look impressive without requiring hours in the kitchen. For these coffin charcuterie boxes, there’s no cooking involved, and you can easily customize each coffin with your family’s favorite snacks. Cheese cubes, grapes, crackers, and pepperoni make a delicious combination, while a pepperoni rose adds a fancy little touch that is surprisingly simple to create. You can even let the kids help arrange the ingredients and add all the spooky decorations.

These Halloween charcuterie coffins would be perfect for a Halloween party, family movie night, classroom celebration, or spooky-season get-together. I found the coffin containers and creepy accessories at Dollar Tree, making this an affordable Halloween food idea, too. Make one large spread for everyone to share or create individual coffin snack boxes for your guests. Either way, they’re almost too spooky to eat!

  • Crackers
  • Grapes
  • Spider rings (Dollar Tree)

How to Make Halloween Coffin Charcuterie

1. Fill the coffins.
Arrange the Swiss cheese cubes, cheddar cheese cubes, grapes, and crackers inside each coffin. Instead of mixing everything together, place the ingredients in small sections to give your charcuterie boxes a pretty, organized appearance.

2. Make the pepperoni roses.
Take several slices of pepperoni and arrange them in a row so that each slice slightly overlaps the next. Fold the row of pepperoni in half lengthwise, then carefully roll it from one end to the other to create a little rose.  Coffin CharcuterieCoffin Charcuterie

3. Add the pepperoni.
Tuck a pepperoni rose into each coffin. You can gently adjust the outer pieces of pepperoni to make the “petals” more noticeable. Coffin Charcuterie

4. Make it spooky!
Now comes the fun part! Add spider rings, vampire teeth, skeleton claws, or other Halloween decorations to your coffin charcuterie. Arrange them so they look like they’re crawling out from between the snacks.

Your spooky Halloween Coffin Charcuterie is ready to serve!

Serving Suggestions

Serve your coffin charcuterie boxes as individual appetizers at a Halloween party or arrange several of them on a large serving tray surrounded by Halloween decorations. They’re also adorable for a Halloween movie marathon alongside popcorn, candy, and other spooky snacks.

You can easily add more foods to fit your guests’ tastes. Try strawberries, blueberries, pretzel sticks, mini cookies, salami, mozzarella pearls, nuts, dried fruit, or different varieties of crackers and cheese. For kids, you could skip the meat and create coffins filled with fruit, cheese, crackers, and a few Halloween treats.

For the best presentation, assemble your Halloween coffin charcuterie shortly before serving. If you’re preparing them ahead of time, refrigerate the meat, cheese, and grapes and wait to add the crackers until closer to serving so they stay crisp.
