It’s the perfect time to make these easy Spring Dipped Oreos!  The best part is that they don’t require any baking!  Another great part, they use my favorite cookies!  But, you could use any kind of Oreos you want. 

Get into the holiday spirit with these adorable Christmas Ornament Oreos! They’re the perfect treat for holiday parties, gift exchanges, or simply to enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa. These festive cookies are easy to make and even easier to eat.

Ingredients:

Bumble Bee Oreos

  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 24 mini pretzels
  • 24 edible eyes
  • 10 oz dark chocolate melts
  • 10 oz white chocolate melts
  • Yellow food coloring
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Bumble bee oreos

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Break the pointed ends off the pretzels to create a “B” shape for the wings.  Bumble Bee Oreos
  3. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to the white chocolate and heat according to the package instructions until melted and smooth. Stir in a few drops of yellow food coloring until the desired color is reached. Bumble Bee step1
  4. Place an Oreo in the white chocolate and flip using a fork to coat both sides. Gently tap the fork on the side of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate. Place on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining Oreos. Bumble BeeBumble Bee Oreos
  5. Set in the freezer for 10 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely hardened. Bumble Bee Oreos
  6. Add the remaining vegetable oil to the dark chocolate and heat according to the package instructions until melted and smooth. Bumble Bee Oreos
  7. Dip the Oreo about ⅓ of the way into the dark chocolate and place it on the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining Oreos. Bumble Bee Oreos
  8. Before the dark chocolate hardens, gently press two eyes into each Oreo. Bumble Bee Oreos
  9. Drizzle chocolate over the remaining part of the Oreo to form the bee’s body. Bumble Bee Oreos
  10. Dip the pretzels into the dark chocolate and gently press them onto the Oreo to form the bee’s wings. This will harden and stick. Bumble Bee Oreos
  11. Place in the freezer for another 10 minutes, or until everything is completely hardened.Bumble Bee Oreos

Notes:

  • For a more vibrant yellow, use gel food coloring instead of liquid food coloring to avoid altering the consistency of the chocolate.
  • Be sure to let the chocolate completely set in the freezer to ensure the cookies are easy to work with.
