How to make this cute Dollar Store Ornament Emoji Craft:
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Basecoat the clear plastic ornaments with bright yellow multi-surface acrylic craft paint. Apply a second coat, if necessary. When working on a slick surface, apply the first coat of paint vertically and then apply the second coat horizontally for full coverage.
STEP TWO
Open paper clips to create hooks, thread through the loop at the top of the ornament, and then hang to dry completely.
STEP THREE
Download and print the EMOJI ORNAMENT PATTERNS onto white cardstock. There is one sheet of printable Emoji faces, with eight different expressions.
STEP FOUR
Gather washable markers, colored pencils, and/or crayons in red, black, blue, and pink. Color the Emoji faces that you would like to use. Get creative and design your own Emoji faces.
STEP FIVE
Carefully cut out all the Emoji facial features that you have colored in. If crafting with younger kids, have them cut out the larger features and have an older kid or adult cut out the smaller ones.
STEP SIX
Flip over the Emoji features and apply liquid craft glue from a fine-tip applicator. A scrap piece of paper will protect your work surface.
STEP SEVEN
Attach the facial features to the painted ornament bases, using the photo as your guide. The liquid glue allows the features to be moved into the correct placement before it dries.
STEP EIGHT
Tie 5/8” wide ribbon into bows and trim any long ends with scissors. Attach to the top of each ornament with a glue gun and glue sticks.
