What should I expect?
What to expect during your visits: Most doctor visits take about 10 minutes, but you can always add time if you need to. My son and I talked to the doctor for about 5 minutes. He was very helpful and concerned. We actually felt like we had his undivided attention, unlike at some doctor’s offices where they are constantly interrupted. Doctors on Amwell® can review your history, answer questions, diagnose, treat and even prescribe medication. Prescriptions will be sent to your pharmacy of choice.
Would I use it again?
YES! It was so easy and quick. Having looked forward to his school trip for weeks, my son needed to be healthy! It only took a few minutes to get cleared and get peace of mind for both of us! I loved that he sent in a prescription for an antibiotic to head off any serious upper respiratory infections. It usually takes your Primary Care days to get you in and at least 48 hours to get medication.
Confidentiality is a big deal for me and this felt completely confidential. I could add as much info as I wanted to my son’s history. I could even update a file with his complete medical record if I wanted to.
