Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Why? You get to make fun and scary treats, sweets and Mummy Meatballs! Just think, you can get the kids to eat meatballs (great source of protein) just by making them into Mummy Meatballs! Give them some thick and rich blood (aka ketchup) to dip them in and you have the perfect snack or party food! I know what I’ll be making for our next spooky get-together!!
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 12 minutes
- Makes: 20 to 25 meatballs
Ingredients to make Mummy Meatballs:
- 1 bag of beef meatballs (pre-made frozen or make your own meatballs and freeze them)
- 1 can crescent dough- cut into strips
- 1 small can sliced black olives
- 3 cheese sticks- chopped into small pieces
Instructions to make Mummy Meatballs:
Place parchment paper on a baking sheet. Open and unroll crescent dough. Roll over the top to press lines. Cut down the middle and then slice into very small lines.
Take meatballs and wrap a strip of crescent dough around the meatball and place on baking sheet. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Repeat process until all dough and meatballs are covered.
Bake for 12 minutes until dough is lightly golden brown.
Take cheese and roll into tiny pieces and place into the center of the olives. Be careful not to break the olives.
Place on meatball. To glue use pasta sauce, ketchup, or mustard.
Serve and enjoy!
