At 6’9″ and 6’11” we are clearly among the tallest twins in the world. In fact, as kids we were always referred to as the “Twin Towers.” This deep-rooted irony is especially difficult for us because on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at age 11, we lost our father, Andrew Friedman, in the attack on the World Trade Center.

The response from our community and communities around the country was truly amazing. While caring for the children of nearly 3000 victims of 9/11 was truly a “Tall Order,” people went out of their way to show us their love and generosity.

In this spirit, we founded TallOrder.com, not only to provide stylish socks for tall guys like us, but also to give back to those in need. Ten percent of our profits will be donated to Tuesday’s Children, a non profit organization founded in the aftermath of 9/11. Tuesday’s Children offers a time-tested, long-term approach that enables children, families and communities torn apart by acts of violence to heal, recover and thrive for a lifetime.

 

Mt Thoughts:

My first thoughts were YAY! Because my brother, one of our sons, and three of our son in laws all wear sizes from 13 to 18. Finding socks for these men is a nightmare.

 

The TallOrder.com website has a nice variety of sock styles and colors. The socks come in sizes that fit a 12-15 shoe or a 16-20 shoe.

Ordering was easy and I appreciate that they have a flat rate shipping charge of only $5.00. Socks run $15.00 a pair or a set for $28.50 which includes a gift box too.

We had to laugh when Ryan put on his new pair of socks. They were too long for him. His foot is on the smaller end of the sizing range but he busted out laughing because he had never had to adjust the heel of a sock back down on his foot in his life! These are nicely made socks that are shaped and fitted for the extra room and length the guys need.

Yes, these may be on the higher end, but not when you consider that your man will have a good looking, well fitting sock to wear. Personally, I think they are well priced for the quality of socks we received.
