Are you digging out of #Blizzard2016 this week? While we all work on thawing out, even if it is just a little, you can warm up with this week’s Meal Plan! Soups, Chowder, and hearty favorites are what’s on the menu this week. I pulled recipes for our favorite warm meals to warm up everyone!
I love potato soup and Missy’s looks amazing! Have you ever had potato soup with carrots, ham, and bacon? Yum!
I chose the Stromboli this week because it is warm, cheesy, generous in the tummy. The bonus is that it can be paired well with leftover soup (if you have Monday’s potato soup leftover).
Pork chops is one of my favorite cuts of meat and can be exceptionally warm and pleasing to the soul when served with gravy! As for the sides, I’d skip the mashed potatoes and go straight for a big plate of Jasmine rice.
Corn Chowder is something different for your menu this week. We love it because it is quick and simple, but tastes like you have been working on the meal all day. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and tortilla chips.
When my family made the vegetarian switch one of our meal staples quickly involved beans. We have gone from a bean-free family to a bean-filled home! Our friend Diane has a delightful bean recipe that you have to try this week. I can’t imagine any other meal on our menu being more flavorful, warm, and delicious.
The glaze on this chicken cannot be overlooked! When I see this picture I instantly want to lick my sticky fingers — wow, she knows how to make us beg for more at Southern Krazed!
Tortellini Alfredo Soup is my accident soup turned family favorite. Anyone who loves creamy chowders will adore this flavorful creamy soup. The fried tortellini pops in your mouth and is spectacular!
Cake for breakfast? Yes! After a week of cold we all deserve cake for breakfast! Make sure you stop by Southern Krazed to get everything you need to make this amazingly easy Coffee Cake!
