If you are a kid of the 90’s, then you probably remember a lot of the original toys and candy that we see making a comeback. And Wonder Ball is no exception; it was the perfect combination of chocolate, sweet & tart candies, plus a toy, and maybe some stickers! They were available in several designs and we definitely wanted to collect them and trade our duplicates with our friends. But now, our kids can have a ball with Wonder Ball and several new holiday designs.
About Wonder Ball
Frankford has been in the candy business since 1947 but we still love a good surprise–that’s why we brought back Wonder Ball! You might remember when you opened the box, unwrapped the foil, and cracked open the chocolate ball to reveal a tasty candy tucked inside. Well, that feeling is back. If you’re new to Wonder Ball, there are a few things you might want to know. Every Wonder Ball comes with delicious chocolate, candy, and fun sticker surprises. The type of surprise you find depends on the kind of Wonder Ball you’re enjoying!
- Original Wonder Ball: The classic you loved as a kid comes with a candy surprise and stickers.
- Wonder Ball Plus Prize: All the great aspects of the original with an additional collectible prize.
- Wonder Ball Minis: Perfect for sharing! 2 smaller sized Wonder Balls and stickers.
My Review
So candy is usually a hit around my house, including the adults. We each have our favorites, but in general, nothing gets tossed aside when candy holidays are over. And since my kids have discovered what surprises lay inside a Wonder Ball, they are now trying to break open all their candy to see what is waiting for them. It’s hilarious for me, but disappointing for them of course. They think all candy should have extra treats hiding inside.
We have several boxes of the three holiday varieties that we are having fun with currently: Paw Patrol, Spiderman, and Disney. The boxes include anything from stickers and a candy filled chocolate ball to those things plus a tiny toy or two from the cartoon! The inner candy is fruit flavored and might be strawberry, blueberry, green apple, or even mango flavored. They do give the outer shell a bit of flavor too, but it wasn’t too noticeable for the kids anyway.
The boxes themselves are bright and colorful and perfect to stuff in those stockings or set out for a holiday party.
Or open the boxes and scatter the stickers, candy filled chocolate balls, and the tiny toys around the table or next to Christmas breakfast for excitement.
You can purchase three different kinds of Wonder Balls from the original (contains a candy surprise and stickers), the plus (contains everything from the original plus an additional prize), or the minis (contains 2 smaller size Wonder Balls and stickers) depending on which size and/or design you pick out.
And you can choose from the special holiday line, or check out their line of Monsters, Super Mario, Disney, or Shopkins Wonder Ball products. Find them for sale at Amazon, Family Dollar, Walgreens, and more!
