Since making snowmen has always been one of our favorite winter activities, my son and I decided that a fun indoor activity would be to make Snowmen out of these delicious Little Bites®. We gathered up a bunch of goodies and set to work!
What you will need to make the Snowmen:
- Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Butter Cookie Muffins
- Fluffy White Frosting
- Candy Eyes
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- White Chocolate Chips
- Peppermint Candies
- Skittles
- Orange Sprinkles
- Pretzels
- Toothpicks
How to Make these Fun Snowmen:
The first thing we had to figure out was how to frost the mini muffins and then how to get them to stick together without falling over. The long plastic toothpicks actually helped us do both of those much easier. For the 2-muffin snowman, we turned the muffins on their side and stuck the toothpick in from the top. We used the top of the toothpick to hold the muffins as we frosted them. We added a smear of frosting on the plate to make the snowman stick to it. Then we added the candy eyes, orange nose, pretzel arms, Skittle hat, mini chocolate chip buttons and stood back to admire our creation.
Afterwards, we decided the poor guy needed a mouth, so we added a pretzel piece to make it look like a corn cob pipe. You can use whatever you and your family like for the details. The peppermint candies make a great hat if you have the snowman sturdy enough to hold it up!
To make a taller snowman, we stacked 3 Muffins and secured them with a toothpick. The top of the toothpick served as the anchor for the head. We frosted the bottom muffins first and added the details. Then frosted the head and added it to the bottom half. We had some trouble keeping it standing without falling over, so we added white chocolate chips around the base to steady it. Then we added the eyes, nose and skittle hat and we were done.
