My Review
Any stuffed animal has a good life in my home. They get to snuggle with the kids, the dog, and all the other stuffed creatures in the house. They get “fed” all the time, and the good stuff too! And each one has a name and personality. So when we added Tyler the Tiger to the mix, he was an instant hit with all of us.
I love how soft and cuddly he is, even though he’s able to move. It’s nice sometimes just to have a soft critter, especially in the car, just by flipping the power switch. But within a minute, he can be roaring, purring, and playing with his squeaky chicken toy (included) all over again. He has the traditional orange and black fur design, along with lengths of white fur on his belly, paws, and face. Plus he has small baby tiger teeth and a pink tongue that just completes the overall realistic cartoon look.
Once we took Tyler the Tiger out of his packaging and got the batteries (4 “C” batteries), it wasn’t long before we were learning all about him. He has several sensors on his body, including his head, back, etc. Different responses are given so it’s not just the same thing over and over. And his “frightening” roar is just adorable! The kids got a kick out of their toy having his own toy to play with. Tyler the Tiger likes to hold the squeaky chicken in his mouth and growls and plays with it.
Now, he doesn’t walk or anything, so he stays in place as far as mobility goes. He’s active, just not by getting away from your kids. It’s sweet to hear the youngest of our crew talking & babbling to him and he responds and moves like they are having a real conversation. The name Tyler was on the packaging, but it’s not part of his programming so you can name him anything you’d like. I suppose you could put a bow or plastic jewelry on it and it can easily be a female tiger cub too!
Tyler the Tiger has over 100 sounds and movements programmed so he’s ready to play, pounce, and is sure to be a hit this year as a gift. He’s recommended for ages 4+, not because of small parts but I think so the younger children don’t break the joints that are wired to move on their own.
