about Dancing Deer Baking Co
There were three company founders; a talented baker, Suzanne Lombardi, who originated many of Dancing Deer’s recipes, a theoretical physicist/business strategist, Ayis Antoniou, who loves to cook, and a business woman/artist, Trish Karter, whose passion is nature and the environment. All three have moved on, but many of their founding principles still remain with us at Dancing Deer.
Incorporated in April 1994 to provide high quality baked goods to accompany the growing market for gourmet coffee, we started out in a former pizza parlor on a busy street corner with a couple of convection ovens. Our specialty was cakes, sold primarily to cafes and restaurants. In 1996 we brought out a line of packaged consumer goods under the Dancing Deer label. Not long after that we opened the doors to passers by who demanded access and forced us in to having a small retail operation.

Dancing Deer offers gluten free treats and all of Dancing Deer’s products baked in the Boston bakery are certified Kosher Dairy. All of the Dancing Deer items are baked from scratch. We received the Supreme brownie, cake, & cookie collection from Dancing Deer Baking Company. The Supreme collection includes a lot of sweet treats that would be great to give (or receive) during the holidays (or any occasion or just because). You get 8 molasses cookies, 7 cranberry orange white chocolate chip cookies, 7 chocolate chip cookies, 4 peanut butter brownies, 4 chocolate chunk brownies, 4 salted caramel squares, a bag of 10 chocolate sea salt star cookies, a chocolate peppermint brownie bar, and a chocolate almond pound cake.
I shared the supreme collection with my husband and our four children. My favorite of the collection is the salted caramel bars and the chocolate chunk brownies. My husband loved the chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate peppermint brownie bar. The kids ate a little of everything. I was hoping that the cookies would be soft and I was not disappointed. The cookies were very soft, as were the brownies and cake. The cake was sweeter than I was expecting but that’s not a bad thing. My step daughter made mention that she wished the peanut butter brownies didn’t have the peanut pieces in them (she expected just the peanut butter).
All of the cookies and brownies, and the cake were safely packaged and arrived all in one piece.
