When I say “family game night”, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Hopefully laughter or fun, not flipped boards and hurt feelings. I love when my family comes together, no matter their age differences, to play, whether on teams or against each other. But we have to mix it up so no one gets bored or feels like they aren’t as good as someone else at a particular game. Here are just a few games and other fun items to stock up on.

My Thoughts:
My family loves to play games together, sometimes electronic, but a lot of times, they are card games or board games! We enjoy being to team up together in different configurations like Girls vs. Boys or Kids vs. Parents. And sometimes, we just go it alone!! But no matter what we’re playing on Family Game Night, we try to have a good time together. It won’t be long and they will start striking out on their own, so I want to treasure these game nights while they are still willing to play.
Family Feud is definitely fun for the family, because we have to work together to get the highest scoring answers for each topic. And a lot of times, the answers (right or wrong) are hysterical. Of course, one of us always gets to be “Steve Harvey” since he’s the MC for the game. Although Sleepover Party Game is definitely marketed towards girls, we do enjoy it nonetheless. It cracks us all up to see Dad doing the chicken dance or doing gross things because another player has to copy you for a turn. And there are no pieces to move or points to mark down; simply keep track of the cards you’ve successfully completed.
And if you want some serious competition, you break out The Cube. The Cube is like the one you remember from growing up, but better. They come in several shapes, colors, sizes, and configurations. For this game, we usually give the younger/less experienced member a simpler version while the veterans tackle the tougher challenges.
And finally, when we want to show appreciation for a job well done, or “just because”, we give out a key2Bme reminder.
