One horrible memory of childhood is when your mama tries to comb or brush out your hair and it’s full of tangles and knots. There is nothing worse than trying to not pull your child’s hair when brushing it, but the comb or brush gets caught mid-swipe. There is a new brush, the Knot Genie that not only makes combing out unruly hair easy, it also encourages children to start brushing their own hair.
My daughter always has had a sensitive scalp. I guess it kinda runs in my family. I remember my daddy had a tender scalp too. Brushing her hair when she was little was like pull teeth (or hair in this case). She would cry and scream even though I was being as gentle as I could. I even tried those detangling sprays. Nothing worked. I sure wish I had this brush back then!
The Knot Genie can untangle the curliest of curls, or the straightest of straight hair. The trick is to have different length teeth in the brush you are using. The teeth in this brush bend just the right way to untangle hair. Because there is a lack of stress on the hair, the hair’s cuticle stays healthy and unharmed.
Not only is this brush good for your child’s hair (and who are we kidding, your hair too), it has a unique design that allows it to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. It’s a comfortable fit for even the smallest of hands, whether you’re right or left handed.
There is also another design of the brush. The Genie Supreme is the same brush with a handle. It seriously looks like a guitar to me. But it works the same as the original but with a long handle. Either design comes in multiple colors. You can have one for each kid.
