Easy Peanut Butter Blossoms

September 22, 2025 by Pam Maynard

New Disclosure

The Best Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe for Holidays & Sharing

Few cookies are as classic—or as irresistible—as Peanut Butter Blossoms. With their soft, chewy peanut butter base and a sweet chocolate candy pressed right in the center, these cookies are the perfect mix of flavors and textures. They’re simple enough to whip up on a weeknight, yet pretty enough to serve at parties, holiday gatherings, or gift exchanges.

What makes this recipe even better is that it can be made two ways: you can use a store-bought peanut butter cookie mix for a quick shortcut, or go all out with homemade cookie dough if you prefer. Either way, the end result is the same—deliciously nostalgic cookies that never last long on the plate. And since this version uses chocolate peanut butter hearts instead of the traditional kisses, you get a fun and festive twist that makes them stand out even more.

These easy peanut butter blossoms are perfect for sharing with neighbors, packing into lunchboxes, or just enjoying warm from the oven with a glass of milk. If you’re a fan of the peanut butter and chocolate combo (and honestly, who isn’t?), this recipe is going to become one of your go-to favorites.

  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling. Peanut butter blossom cookies

Tips for Perfect Peanut Butter Blossoms

  • Switch up the chocolate: Try different seasonal chocolates—like peppermint patties for Christmas or pastel hearts for Valentine’s Day.
  • Make ahead: The dough can be prepared and refrigerated up to 24 hours in advance. Roll in sugar right before baking.
  • Keep them soft: Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Place a slice of bread in the container to help cookies stay chewy longer.
