  • Craft Sticks, Jumbo – Dollar Store
  • Wiggle Eyes – Dollar Store
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks – Dollar Store
  • Acrylic Craft Paint – Bright Pink, Lavender
  • Craft Felt – Bright Blue, Light Pink, Bright Pink
  • Pom Poms – Dollar Store
  • Chenille Stem, Black – Dollar Store
  • Glitter Glue, Iridescent – Dollar Store
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Marker, Black – Dollar Store
  • PRINT THE PATTERNS HERE

Craft Stick Cupcake Craft

Instructions:

  1. Gather all supplies. To create the cupcake base, fan out five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface, leaving space in between. Trim one craft stick to the width and attach it with a glue gun and glue sticks.  TIP: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry Cupcake Craft
  2. Trim four jumbo craft sticks to length and glue them in the open spaces in between the first layer of craft sticks. Cut one additional craft stick to width and attach at the top with a glue gun and glue sticks. cupcake craft
  3. Basecoat the cupcake bases with lavender and bright pink acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.  cupcake craft
  4. Download, print, and cut out the Cupcake Patterns. Trace the frosting pattern onto bright blue and bright pink craft felt. cupcake craft
  5. Cut out the cupcake frosting patterns with scissors. cupcake craft
  6. Attach the frosting to the cupcake bases with a glue gun and glue sticks. cupcake craft
  7. Trace and cut out two cheek patterns from light pink and bright pink craft felt. Dry fit the wiggle eyes and the cheeks. Craft Stick Cupcake Craft
  8. Attach the cheeks and two wiggle eyes to the craft stick cupcakes with a glue gun and glue sticks. Craft Stick Cupcake Craft
  9. Cut a black chenille stem into three 4” sections with scissors. Bend into a half-circle-shaped smile. Craft Stick Cupcake Craft
  10. Attach a chenille stem smile from cheek to cheek with a glue gun and glue sticks. Craft Stick Cupcake Craft
  11. Outline the cupcake frosting with iridescent glitter glue. Set aside to dry. Craft Stick Cupcake Craft
  12. Attach a large pom pom to the top of each cupcake with a glue gun and glue sticks. Craft Stick Cupcake Craft

Attach the cheeks and two wiggle eyes to the craft stick cupcakes with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP NINE

Cut a black chenille stem into three 4” sections with scissors. Bend into a half circle shaped smile.

STEP TEN

Attach chenille stem smile from cheek to cheek with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP ELEVEN

Outline the cupcake frosting with iridescent glitter glue. Set aside to dry. 

STEP TWELVE

Attach a large pom pom to the top of each cupcake with a glue gun and glue sticks.
