My Thoughts on the Lume Cube Edge Light Go
After using the Lume Cube Edge Light Go, I quickly realized this isn’t just another desk lamp. It’s one of those products everyone in our house has found a reason to use. Since it’s cordless and portable, we can easily move it depending on who needs it. My son uses it for homework and drawing, while my daughter uses it for homework and even when she’s getting ready in the morning. I love it for journaling and doing my makeup, and my husband uses it when working on homework or looking through his collectible cards.
Soft, High-Quality Lighting
One of the biggest differences for me is the quality of the light. With a CRI above 95, colors look natural and accurate instead of washed out or distorted. The light is also soft and well-diffused, which makes detailed tasks like reading, writing, drawing, applying makeup, or looking through collectible cards much more comfortable.
It has also been great for video calls. Instead of sitting in a dark room or trying to position ourselves near a window, we can adjust the Edge Light Go to provide more flattering, even lighting.
Adjustable Brightness & Warmth
I love being able to change both the brightness and warmth depending on what we’re doing. Cooler lighting is great when the kids are working on homework or we need to concentrate, while warmer lighting creates a softer atmosphere later in the day.
The precision dimming is another feature we use often. We don’t always need the lamp at full brightness, so being able to find just the right amount of light makes it useful from morning until night.
Integrated Red Light Mode
The red light mode is something I wasn’t used to seeing on a desk lamp. It provides a lower-intensity option with less blue light exposure, making it especially nice in the evening. We can still see what we’re doing without having a bright, cool light shining at us when we’re starting to wind down.

Another feature I appreciate is the four precision pivot points. You can adjust the height, reach, and angle so the light shines exactly where you need it.
This comes in handy in our family because everyone uses it differently. My son can point it toward his drawing, my daughter can adjust it while getting ready, and I can position it toward my face for makeup or a video call.
Cordless & Easy to Move
Being rechargeable might be one of my favorite features. There’s no permanent setup or cord keeping it stuck in one place. We can grab it from one desk and move it to another room whenever we need it.
It provides up to eight hours of rechargeable use, and the cordless design also keeps our desks looking much cleaner. Plus, having wireless charging for compatible devices adds even more convenience.
25-Minute Auto Shut Off
The 25-minute auto shut-off timer is such a simple but useful addition. It’s perfect for a focused homework or reading session, and I also like using it at night when I’m journaling. Once the timer is set, I don’t have to remember to turn the light off afterward.
