đ What Youâll Need
- 18-inch evergreen wreath form (I grabbed mine from Michaels in the holiday section or get it on Amazon!)
(You can also use a regular wire wreath form â youâll just need a bit more mesh.) - Green mesh ribbon â I used three rolls from the Dollar Tree
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Grinch bow (I found the cutest one on Amazon!)
- Grinch sign (I bought a set from Amazon so I could use the extras for other crafts)
đ How to Make Your Mesh Grinch Wreath
Step 1: Cut and Prep Your Mesh
Start by measuring and cutting your green mesh into 12-inch sections. Youâll use all three rolls for this wreath, so go ahead and prep your pieces before you start assembling â itâll make the process go much smoother.
Step 2: Roll, Bunch, and Secure
To create that full, fluffy look, take each strip of mesh and roll the ends inward, then roll it into a loose tube shape. Once you have a few rolls ready, bunch two together and attach them to your wreath form.
If youâre using an evergreen wreath like I did, you can twist the greenery pieces around the mesh to secure them (no extra wire needed!). If youâre working with a wire wreath, use small zip ties or floral wire instead. Continue this all the way around your wreath until itâs completely covered in that perfect Grinchy green.
Step 3: Add the Bow
Once your wreath is nice and full, itâs time to add the Grinch bow! Use the twist tie on the back of the bow to secure it tightly to the wreath. I like to place mine slightly off-center for a playful touch.
Step 4: Attach the Sign
Next, grab your Grinch sign and attach it with a little bit of hot glue. Press it firmly for a few seconds to make sure it sticks well. You can place it at the bottom or top of your wreath â wherever it feels balanced and fun.
Step 5: Hang and Enjoy!
Thatâs it! Your festive Mesh Grinch Wreath is ready to hang. đ Itâs a cheerful, lighthearted way to spread holiday joy â even to the grinchiest guest who comes to visit.
đ FAQs About Making a Mesh Grinch Wreath
Q: Can I use a different color mesh?
Absolutely! Green is classic for the Grinch, but you can mix in a bit of red, white, or even sparkly gold mesh for a more festive or personalized look.
Q: What if I donât have an evergreen wreath form?
No problem! A wire wreath form works great â just plan to use an extra roll of mesh so your wreath still looks nice and full.
Q: Can I make this wreath with kids?
Yes â with a little help! Kids can help cut and roll the mesh or choose where to place the bow and sign. Just make sure an adult handles the hot glue gun.
Q: How do I store my wreath after the holidays?
To keep it looking fluffy and full, store your Grinch wreath in a large plastic wreath bag or box. Avoid crushing it with heavy items, and itâll be ready to hang again next year!
Q: Where can I find Grinch bows and signs?
Amazon has plenty of options â thatâs where I grabbed mine! You can also check craft stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby during the holiday season.
