Ingredients

Oat Quick Bread Ingred

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup coconut oil (or any neutral flavored oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

**Step1: Prepare the Oven and Pan**  Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

**Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients**   In a large bowl, combine 1½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of rolled oats*, one teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix well to ensure even distribution. Oat Quick Bread

**Step 3: Prepare Wet Ingredients**  In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce, ¾ cup of sugar, one large egg, ¼ cup of oil, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ½ cup of milk until smooth. Oat Quick Bread

**Step 4: Combine Mixtures**  Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined, avoiding overmixing. Oat Quick Bread

**Step 5: Bake**   Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Oat Quick Bread

**Step 6: Cool and Serve**  Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. Enjoy your delicious quick bread!

Storage: Keeps well at room temp for 2–3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.

*Optional, but reserve about 1 Tbsp of oats to sprinkle on top of the loaf before baking.
