While the donuts cool, mix your powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze.

Can I eat these donuts warm?
Yes, you can glaze the donuts hot and eat them warm. The glaze will just run more from the heat of the donut but they will taste oh-so-delicious!
Can I make these donuts ahead of time for a special occasion?
Absolutely! These Pumpkin Streusel Donuts can be prepared in advance. Bake the donuts, let them cool completely, and store them in an airtight container at room temperature. Make the streusel and glaze separately and store them in separate containers. When you’re ready to serve, assemble them for that freshly baked taste and texture.
Can I make these donuts without a donut pan?
While a donut pan is ideal for achieving that classic donut shape, you can still enjoy this delicious recipe without one. Simply shape the dough into small rounds, and bake them on a baking sheet. They’ll have a slightly different appearance but will taste just as incredible!
3. Can I freeze these Pumpkin Streusel Donuts for later?
Absolutely! These donuts freeze well. Once baked and cooled, individually wrap them in plastic wrap and place them in an airtight container or freezer bag. They can be stored in the freezer for up to two months. When you’re ready to enjoy, let them thaw at room temperature, and if desired, reheat in the oven for that fresh-from-the-oven taste. Perfect for a quick autumn morning treat!
