Maple Cinnamon Mummy Cookie Ingredients:
- 3 C all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 C unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ C packed light brown sugar
- ⅓ C Maple syrup
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
Vanilla Frosting Ingredients:
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 2 ½ – 3 C powdered sugar
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 20 Candy Eyeballs
- 8oz White Decorating Icing
- Large piping bag with #48 tip
Maple Cinnamon Mummy Cookie Directions:
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.
Put butter in a heatproof bowl. Place in the microwave until the butter has melted.
Set aside the butter to cool slightly.
Add brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the melted butter. Stir well to mix.
Stir in the egg until all ingredients have been combined.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
Mix the ingredients together using a hand mixer until just mixed.
Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap. Put in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Maple Cinnamon Mummy Cookie Frosting Directions:
Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy whipping cream until creamy and stiff.
Then scoop the frosting into the piping bag.
Make sure the ridged side of the tip is facing downwards
Pipe thick lines randomly over the cookie making sure to leave the middle space bare for the eyes
Pipe a small amount on the back of two eyes and place it in the middle of the cookies.
Allow the frosting to firm up before enjoying

This fun cookie recipe is a great twist on a sugar cookie- it's maple and cinnamon flavored. And the frosting tutorial is so easy.
Ingredients

With a large cookie scoop make cookie dough balls.
Position the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet.
Space the cookie dough balls 2 inches apart.
Put the remaining cookie balls back in the bowl, cover and return them to the refrigerator.
Bake only one tray of cookies at a time.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
The cookies will puff up a little bit.
You want the edges of the cookies just a slight beige.
Set the cookie sheet aside to let the cookies cool for 5 minutes.
Move the cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Mummy Cookie Frosting Directions:
Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy whipping cream until creamy and stiff.
