My Thoughts
What a sweet set of plush characters! Hoppy and Poppie PinkCheeks along with their other friends on Bug Island help children understand, identify and process their feelings. Through role play and interactive books, children will learn to understand what they are feeling. They will also start to learn the why of the feeling and how to deal with the emotions.
These gift sets would be great as a birthday, shower, or perhaps as a gift for a life event. Emotions and feelings are hard to handle for some adults so it is really easy to see why little ones have their meltdowns. Tools like this were not around when my children were young so I find them fascinating. I can see so many opportunities for them in schools, nursery schools, and day care centers. I can see how teaching children to identify and process their feelings at an earlier age would make a huge difference in their mental health.
If you have little ones, I recommend getting them a set of Hoppy and Poppie PinkCheeks and start them down the road to a stable emotional foundation. We have been practicing naming our feels and using the wrist bands for about a month. The other day, I was in a bad mood (we call it having a grumbly heart). Nothing was really wrong, I just was not a cheerful person. One of the little ones brought me wrist bands and asked me to pick how I was feeling! Wow! They get it! Notice they didn’t bring the Happy, Calm, or Excited wrist band?
