I believe these Chocolate Strawberry Birds have to be one of the most adorable and creative treats I have ever seen! And, talk about taking chocolate dipped strawberries to a whole new level!
To create these fun birds, you only need strawberries and chocolate plus the embellishments. Seriously! They are almost too cute to eat. But, then again, who can resist juicy strawberries covered in chocolate? YUM!
Chocolate Strawberry Birds
Ingredients:
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 tbsp of canola oil
1 pound of Strawberries
yellow candy hearts
candy eyes
Instructions:
1. Clean and dry strawberries, do not remove stems.
2. Melt chocolate in the microwave. Use the melt chocolate setting or melt in intervals of 30 seconds.
3. Once melted, add canola oil and mix until well blended.
4. Dip strawberries ¾ of the way at an angle into the chocolate mix making sure the tip is covered but leave an uncovered patch to form the bird’s belly
5. Once dipped, place the strawberries on parchment paper to decorate and let set.
6. Place candy eyes immediately into chocolate, at the tip section of the strawberries.
7. Finally, insert the candy heart’s tip into the strawberry right under the eyes to form the open beak.
These little guys are so adorable, they are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face.
