THE Destination for farm-fresh, scratch-made offerings for all to enjoy!
If you love a great salad bar, you need to try Sweet Tomatoes. Of course, Sweet Tomatoes has a salad bar and so much more! Not only is it fresh and delicious, it’s all made from scratch! Everything from the muffins to the soups are made from the freshest ingredients!
My friend Kristin, her mom, daughter, aunt and I enjoyed an amazing meal at the Sweet Tomatoes in Lady Lake Florida! It was a sweltering day but the minute we walked inside to the cool salad bar, I was ready to create my amazing meal! Everyone was friendly and helpful and even assisted Aunt Barb getting her tray to the table as she uses a cane.
We had a perfect table- right next to the Ice Cream bar and soda fountain. It didn’t take long for us to decide we couldn’t resist the bakery and soups so we abandoned our salads for the pastas, breads and potato bar. Everyone else enjoyed soup as well. I just can’t eat soup on a hot day. I love it all winter long at home in New Hampshire.
I loved this place card you put at your seat so no one cleared away your goodies while you were getting more food:

Did you know each month there are special recipes?
To celebrate August, the menu is full of sweetness – from delicious berry-filled salads to fruit-forward baked goods. Not the sweet tooth type? Not to fear, August’s menu also features hearty soups and savory hot bar pasta dishes. I tried the Picnic Potato salad- it was creamy and delicious. The Coconut muffin and Peach Poppy Seed muffins were amazing as well. I’m not a huge soup eater in the summer, but Aunt Barb loved the Santa Fe Black Bean Chilli. Someone else also tried and loved the Turbo Kale and Veggie Soup.
Did you know that there are 17 choices of salad dressings to top off your salad? How amazing it that!
The Bakery!
Muffins, Breads, Cornbread, Cheese Breads and much more were a feast for our eyes and tummies. They even had brownie bites!
This Cheesy Garlic Focaccia was my favorite! If you want to make some of these great bakery items at home, check out the recipes on my previous post HERE. To find even more recipes, visit the Sweet Tomatoes Blog.
Soups:
There was a great variety of soups for even the choosiest of soup lovers. Their Big Chunk Chicken Noodle soup is always a favorite! What’s your favorite kind of soup? Chances are good Sweet Tomatoes will have it!
About Nutrition:

In fact, their restaurant was founded upon this very idea and that’s why all the menu items are farm fresh and made from scratch. They are committed to stocking the salad buffet with the freshest ingredients to allow guests to make their own salad creation to enjoy alongside the house made salads, soups, breads, and desserts. They want all their guests to have the options to create a healthy meal all their own.

Desserts:
If you’re not an ice cream lover, there were a few pudding varieties to try along with some fresh fruit. There are always options for everyone’s taste buds!
Speaking of ice cream, be sure to save room for everyone’s favorite part. You know the kids will want that first. That’s up to you how you want to handle it. It might be a good conversation to think about having before you go in!
Another great thing to think about before you go is what day of the week you’re going. Kids 12 and under eat FREE with a paying adult on Tuesdays all summer!
