When it gets cold outside, coming up with activities to keep the kids busy and happy can be a challenge sometimes! But since they love to create, I’m always on the lookout for new & fun ways to let them be creative and have something interesting (or useful) to show for it. It’s a reason I really appreciate the Winter Theme Crafts from Seedling.
Seedling imagines the future of play and brings it to life by uniting modern, scalable technologies and classic materials. Our innovative products enable kids 2 to 12 to move seamlessly between the digital and physical worlds they play in, creating a new category of products called Reimagined Play.
We encourage kids to create with every tool in the toolbox, including technology. That’s why we make groundbreaking products that merge tactile materials with advancing technologies, like augmented reality and virtual reality. These products are designed to help families put the child in control of the experience, to step into the role of builder, designer, creator, and beyond.
We believe in high-quality play. We pay attention to every element of the creative experience, ensuring the materials in every box meet the highest standards so that every creation can be played with again and again.
We invite you to bend the rules, color outside the lines, and reimagine everything around you. Make it better, make it your own, and make time to imagine what if…
We may not always enjoy the snow, especially when it interferes with our daily plans, but snow globes are always a hit for the entire family. Some of us like the more delicate & feminine style while others enjoy the seasonal or rustic looking ones.
But no two are alike when my kids used the Let It Snow! Snow Globe Kit from Seedling.
Create your own winter wonderland scene with this holiday version of one of our best selling activity kits. This kit comes with “make and bake” polymer clay in red, white and green; glitter, a plastic globe, and stand to make a sparkly, custom snow globe. Recommended for ages 8+
As you can tell from my son’s creation, this quickly became more than a typical “dough” playtime at the kitchen table. He sat and thought about what he wanted it to look like. We discussed
our his molding ability, the limitations of the snow globe opening, etc.
And it took us a few practice tries and techniques to find exactly what he imagined but he was delighted at the finished product.
Heads up parents: the clay bakes for 30 minutes, then needs to sit for 12-24 hours so this was a 2-part process!
If you have a little princess or ballerina or dancing fairy, then you know that a beautiful tutu is a required piece to any outfit! The fact that it’s blue with rhinestones, glitter, and ribbon is only a bonus.
We made a unique costume piece with the Create your Own Ice Princess Tutu Kit from Seedling.
Escape to a winter wonderland in a magic tutu that’s fit for a princess. Create a unique tulle skirt with our easy no-sew kit. Includes felt snowflakes, rhinestones, satin ribbon, and glitter for a burst of frosted shimmer. Recommended for ages 4+
And of course no Ice Princess or Fairy would be ready to reign over her subjects without her own Snowflake Fairy Wand! This can be designed by her majesty and fit for any young lady ruling her kingdom.
These are just a few of the awesome DIY toys in the Winter Theme Crafts available from Seedling, not to mention their other fun products that are great for any time of the year. I enjoy the fact that the kids can use their hands and creative minds to craft something completely their own, even if they need a little guidance in the form of a parental suggestion or helping hand.
We may not keep these beautiful items forever, but the memories we create together as we laugh and play will never be forgotten.
