My Thoughts:
Spending time with our furbabies, especially during the holiday season is so important. There is always so much going on around our house but during the holiday season it goes nuts with out of town guests and lots of strangers. Our dogger team handles this in stride, but we always try to spend extra time with them to make sure they are not overly stressed.
Keeping them groomed and happy usually falls on Dad..well at least the grooming part because these doggers are pretty big. The little ones and I like to brush and love on them, but leave the heavy lifting to Dad.These gloves really do remove a ton of loose hair off your pet. Unlike using a brush, you don’t have to stop and clean the gloves, just shake your hands and the hair falls right off.
Our family has several large dogs. Champ is our Black Lab, Sutton is our Golden Doodle, and Maya is our Lab with Chow mix.
Champ loves attention. He will sit and be still for hours as long as you will rub him. He is an old calm soul that just wants to be with you and have your hand on him. He makes the funniest sounds when you are running your hand down his shoulder and back. He just lets out a deep breath and you can watch his body relax.
Sutton is our wild child and struggles to just sit still long enough to receive a treat. She does enjoy bath time and getting brushed. She is still not too sure about the HandsOn Gloves, but I think she will love them once she stops having to watch and smell them all the time as we try to rub her down. We had been using a brush, so the gloves are something new. Right now we are having one of the little ones distract her so I can use the gloves on her until she gets used to them.
Maya is a fur ball. She has more hair than the other dogs combined. And while she tolerates getting a bath and grooming, she loves getting “love strokes” from her humans. I think if Maya could reach her HandsOn Gloves, she would carry them around and place them in my lap any time I sat down. As it is, she is right there placing her head on my leg wanting my attention.
Using the HandsOn Gloves is a lot nicer than I was expecting. They are comfortable to wear and easy to use. Being able to wear them during bath time does give you the feeling that you can really get close to their skin and make sure to get off all the “dog’ odors. And using them on the dogs to brush out every day really helps to keep their fur under control.
None of dogs have had any issues with us using the HandsOn Gloves with them. Of course other than being curious about what we have on our hands. I think they all prefer them over being brushed or combed.
