Playing the piano brings back happy childhood memories for me. I grew up playing on an old upright that had been in the family for decades. The one thing I didn’t like about playing the piano was that I couldn’t take it with me when I wanted to be with my friends. But, this isn’t the case today.
Now you can take your keyboard with you and enjoy playing anywhere! Not only do the keyboards of today have a bunch of features that standard pianos do not, they are lighter and can be connected with your bluetooth devices for lessons and or accompaniment.
Brands today like Roland’s GO:PIANO are also self-teaching. You can learn and play along with your devices for unlimited songs online. And lessons, well they are streamed straight to your device or smartphone.
Starting out on piano can feel overwhelming. But Roland’s GO:PIANO works alongside your smartphone to offer a simple and compact learning solution. When you wirelessly connect to a smartphone using Bluetooth®, you can enjoy unlimited free online content that makes learning faster and more fun, including online piano lessons, karaoke, and tutorial videos for your favorite songs. Plus, it comes with the best-selling piano method: Faber Piano Adventures® to get students started on the right path.
Play along as the online content streams through GO:PIANO’s high-quality onboard Bluetooth speakers, or create music on the move with this compact keyboard’s space-saving portable design, battery operation, and headphones support. Plus, with natural sound derived from Roland’s premium digital pianos, you’ll want to keep using this piano even after you step up to a full-size instrument. Grab your smartphone and start your musical journey with GO:PIANO today!
My Thoughts:
AMAZING!! Not only am I back on my favorite childhood platform, several of my team are starting to show a desire to learn to play.
Over the years, a couple of my crew have spent time trying to learn to play the piano. However, the time, cost, and struggle with getting to lessons seemed to dim their desire. Since we set up the GO:PIANO, there is usually one or more of the little ones (or teens) trying to learn (or are remembering their songs from earlier lessons) all day.
The unit features a 61-note keyboard with full-size piano keys. The sound is excellent and setting it up so that it can be used for lessons was simple. The software and online courses are available for everyone..beginners to advanced.
As far as it being self-teaching, there are so many things this unit can do! It connects via bluetooth for lessons and to help you play along while learning the keys, there are instructional videos available, and you can set up other instruments for accompaniment while playing.
It really is a unique way to bring the love of playing the piano to your home. Oh, and for those times that you don’t care to listen to the learning curve of a little one, you can hook up a headset and they can just play away all they want!
Do you have someone that would love to learn to play the piano? If so, I highly recommend the GO:PIANO by Roland. It is really a high quality unit and comes with everything you need to get started. One point that should be mentioned is while the GO:PIANO’s is compatible with music apps on any tablet or smartphone, the Faber Piano Adventures Player app, is currently only available for iOS devices. There are other apps that are compatible with different devices, so while the Piano Adventures app mentioned above is for iOS devices, it is just one of many apps available for music education. The other materials included with the GO:PIANO are not dependent on the app. For example, there’s an included instructional book, and the accompaniments tracks for the songs in the book are built into the GO:PIANO. So there are a lot of learning possibilities that don’t depend on the Piano Adventures app.
