Escape Boredom With Yulu, Zing, and Redwood Ventures Toys
This Christmas have presents under you tree that will be fun for the whole family. These fun games and toys will bring a smile to your face, and make your day memorable. Whether you like family likes escape games, games that make you think, or toys to keep your hands busy, these three brands have what you want.
Yulu Games
We had a blast with three fun and action filled games from Yulu Games. Operation Escape Room was so cool. You get to tie one person up to a chair with a box that counts down from the set time to zero. Before the countdown is complete the other players have to solve three puzzles and retrieve three keys. After the third puzzle you run to the trapped person, use the last key, and help them escape before time runs out. I was the first to be tied up and I was left with no escape because they were still figuring things out. Then we took turns being the person tied up and doing the three puzzles.
The first puzzle had us get a key out of a cage with two picks. There are four sides to try from of differing skill levels. You spin the arrow on top to decide which you do. Once you have the key you run over to the Quizmaster which has 45 cards in three different color levels. You can do whatever level you decide on, and must answer three consecutive cards correct to earn the key. Then you rush to the third puzzle the Luck Challenge. You insert the key, spin the dial and lift three flaps to find the key. If you do not find it you have to re spin it and start over again. The kids got real good at these tasks and had so much fun running about to beat the clock.
Break Free
This game had all four of my family handcuffed to one another. Then they had to use a lock pick to solve a puzzle in the handcuff to get it loose. The first to solve the puzzle got a token. Then they did it over with a harder puzzle, and then a third time. At the end the one with the most token points wins. They were so competitive it was funny to watch. What wasn’t funny was how bad I was at this game. My husband had to break me free because I could not get the handcuff off. I will say in my defense, they started me off at the highest level, so I did not get the trial run of easy. Either way I was lame! The color disks you see are the different level puzzles. Green is easy, yellow medium, and red hard. All 12 puzzles are different.
Safe Breaker
This Yulu game was my favorite! You have a safe and you put the included coins into it. Then you lay out cards that have numbers on them in the center of the table. On your turn you pick a number and enter it on the safe. When you press the button you listen to the sound it makes. It will make one noise if the number is to low, another if it is to high. An alarm may sound and you get no clue and lose your turn, or it may open giving you coins. You continue this process until one player has a certain amount of coins to win. This game was really cute and the kids love it. They make funny noises as the safe gives them their clue so the other players cannot hear the clue. We also stopped using the cards so no one knew the number the other players tried to make it more of a challenge.
Zing Toys
Stikbot Pirate Movie Set was a real creative toy that is fun to experiment with. You get to build the pirate ship and all the props. Plus it comes with sticker clothes and faces to change your Stickbot up. You can play on the ship, inside the ship, or on little boats in the water, but beware of the sharks. Then you can go to an app and animate your story. Stikbot has suction hands and feet so you can have him stick to the set. It was fun to make him walk the plasnk and escape the sharks into his dingy with the treasure. There were also cannons for him to shoot.
Tumblstix is a fun tabletop game that improves hand and eye coordination. This skill game is fun and will keep you busy as you practice and improve. Most noteworthy is how easy it is to take your Tumblstix everywhere you go. Plus it even lights up to add more fun to your game. My son was so excited when he got his Tumblstix to stand straight up on end after a gentle nudge. It did take him a while t get the hang of it, but he had fun in the process.
Metal Chuckz are metal colored thumb chucks. They are soft to the touch and come with one basic trick to learn and online support. These are great for those who like to keep their hands busy. My son loves his set and takes them with him all over. Most important is that these are quiet unlike some fidget toys that are annoying to everyone around the kid who is using them. These Metal Chuckz are neat to look at and are fun to play with.
Redwood Ventures Toys
SmooshyMushy Milkshake toys are the cutest thing ever! When you open the container you get this adorable SmooshyMushy with their cute mystery best friend. Ours was Bitsie Bunny and her little Dani Donut. Plus inside there was a mini bottle, name tag, stickers, a fun naming game, and key chains. Not only are these squishy toys cute as can be, but they smell amazing. My daughter loves her bunny and wants to collect the whole set. These SmooshyMushy’s were the hit at church the other day. My daughter took them with her and now all her friends were begging for one for Christmas. As I said they do smell amazing and they are fun to smoosh. Plus the cute name game was fun to do at church and at home. My daughter is Mushy Puddin Pop, my husband and I are both Gooey Puddin Pop, and my boys are Lucky and Fluffy Puddin Pop. It takes the first letter of your first and last name to get your name. The girls at church were all calling each other these funny names and just giggling. I do have to admit that it is funny to have a pastor named Honey Burger!
These games are sure to give you an escape from boredom and bring smiles to your family!
