Baths are a required part of life, especially when the kids start getting active and into messes. But there’s no reason that bath time can’t be fun too, right? You might not think about toys that teach in the tub, but each of these round up items are a blast for the kids while also teaching them skills!
Squirting Silicone Bath Toy
Marcus & Marcus silicone bath toy is a must have for your little ones! Each squirt is made of BPA free and phthalate free silicone. Choose from Marcus the Lion, Pokey the Pig, Lola the Giraffe, Ollie the Elephant and Willo the Whale. They also come in Submarine and Rocketship. They are not just fun to play with but parents are also worry free from mold growing inside as they are detachable to air dry after bath time.
Bubble Bath Bunny
Bubble Bath Bunny needs help finding his toys hidden in the soapy suds. Using the box as your bathtub, players roll a die hoping to match the color or symbol with tiles spread across the water. A fun way to bring bath time to the table for parents and toddlers to improve memory, matching and fine motor skills.
Bathtub Ball Track Set
Bring the fun and creativity of HABA’s ball track sets into the bathtub! The HABA Bathtub Ball Track Set has pieces that easily attach to the wall of the bathroom with suction cups and can be rearranged into many different configurations. As soon as the tracks and paddle wheel are in place, the fun can start! The ball quickly zips down the tracks, gives the paddle wheel a spin, and finally flops into the bathtub. For extra fun, use the ladle to pour water into the track and watch it run the same route as the ball! The PP-plastic set contains three tracks (7.75″ x 3.00″), a paddle wheel (5.50″ x 3.00″), a ladle, and a ball, with suction cups to attach to the tub or tile (made of phthalate-free PVC). Perfect for children ages 3 years and up.
Bubble Bath Whisk
For little and big whirlpool fun. Just stick the bubble bath whisk into the bath water, turn the crank and you will have fantastic foam in your bathtub! Made of sturdy plastic.
Playgro Bath Fun Play Pack

This pack is the ideal gift for babies beginning to enjoy bath time offering vibrant colours, varied textures and delightful sounds.
My Thoughts
I think it’s fair to say that most children like taking a bath. I didn’t have any trouble until my son got older and had better things to do than take a shower LOL! And while there’s nothing wrong with giving them kitchen items that double as toys like mixing bowls, cups, etc., sometimes it’s nice to get those things back to the kitchen permanently. So once we get the tub ready with bubbles and such, it’s time to get out the toys for the tub.
The first thing they do is set up the Bathtub Ball Track Set on the tile wall. Believe me, it’s a big experiment in trial and error, because the ball has to land on the next piece down and be able to roll freely. Otherwise the kids stop, go back to adjust that part, and then continue on until they have the perfect track in place. And then they take turns mixing up the bubbles as they start to fade with the Bubble Bath Whisk. It works like the ones from the kitchen, but these have a handy crank handle to start the fun.
Along with taking plastic action figures to the tub for some of the older kids, they also like to play with boats. Pirates are a common theme coming from the tub I hear, and the Squirting Silicone Bath Toys in the shape of submarines are a great way to engage in pretend play. And the best part is these come apart after bath time, so these toys for the tub can dry completely inside and out!
With the Bath Fun Play Pack, there were several different types of toys the kids could play with, including cups and toys that squirt! I love that the set includes a net bag with suction cups so the toys can drip dry after bath time is over and not be in the way for the next person.
Finally, when bath time is over, they can still have some silly fun with the game Bubble Bath Bunny. We use this as part of our quiet time when we wind down for bed. The bunny needs help finding all of his/her toys in the bubbles in the tub. The kids take turn rolling a dice and match colors or symbols on tiles in the tub. They are learning about matching and memory while still having a fun time together.
All in all, these toys for the tub are wonderful for any child and there are no small pieces so the little kids can use them right alongside the big kids. And a lot of them can easily transfer to the outside pool when the weather is warm enough! I do make sure they are laid out to dry after each use and occasionally will soak them in hot soapy water and dried thoroughly to stop any nasty mold growth. Bath toys would be perfect for any child in your life, no matter the occasion!
