About Akin Suction Cup Game
A Fast and Furious Party Game Where It’s All Relative! is a game where you race to use your suction cups to “suction” up cards on the table that are related – or “akin” – to the card that is turned over during that round. The first person to suction up two valid related cards wins the round. The person with the most wins after 10 rounds is the winner of the game!
How it works:
Objects have qualities that you associate with them – whether it’s the smell of a freshly baked donut or the soft wet feel of fresh snow.
Objective: Identify qualities and objects that are related. These form sets.
How to Win:
Play 10 rounds. The player who has the most sets wins the game.
About Running With The Bulls
Get ready to embark on the craziest vacation ever! A herd of mischievous bulls has taken over the quaint town of El Toro, and players must outrun and outwit them in order to get to the fabulous destinations on the coast! Skillfully play cards to dodge the rascally bulls as they chase you through the streets! Choose when to act, rolling dice to determine the paths of both the Runners of El Toro and the Bulls themselves! With a bit of planning and lot of luck, you’ll reach your spectacular getaway while Running with the Bulls™!
I already mentioned that I love finding toys or games that don’t light up or constantly needs batteries. I want to be able to connect with my family when we take a break from our busy lives to spend time together. Yep, we put our phones on silent, turn the TV off, and grab a game to play at the kitchen table.
But sometimes the youngest of our crew doesn’t want to play the game, or isn’t old enough yet, so I set her at the table with us and Baby Stella. Her Baby Stella is a beautiful little doll with a magnetic pacifier and clothes to dress her in. Plus she can change her diaper and check out Baby Stella’s fingers and toes and belly button that are just like her own! The Manhattan Toy Company is the company that makes Baby Stella and they have several options for appearances as well as additional clothes and toys.
So on to the games!
Playing Akin is pretty faced past once you get the hang of it. You match up “quality” cards with “object” cards to form a set of 3 cards. The player who has the most sets after 10 rounds win the game! The young ones do need to be able to read to play, but otherwise, it’s all about fast thinking and being able to explain your rationale when it comes to how your sets of cards relate together.
The other family game is called Running with the Bulls. It requires 2-6 players so there’s plenty of spots for us to fill, and it definitely helps if the younger players in the group are able to read on their own. But it doesn’t hurt for a little help from other game players!! This game has the players running from the bulls through the streets, trying to reach the coast. With a roll of the dice and a well timed action card, you try to beat the bulls and other runners!
Whether you have a large family or a small one, these fun and games without a battery are perfect to unwind and relax together. You are making memories they will remember for the rest of their lives. And a few laughs never hurt anyone, right?
