About Running With The Bulls

My Thoughts:

I already mentioned that I love finding toys or games that don’t light up or constantly needs batteries. I want to be able to connect with my family when we take a break from our busy lives to spend time together. Yep, we put our phones on silent, turn the TV off, and grab a game to play at the kitchen table.

But sometimes the youngest of our crew doesn’t want to play the game, or isn’t old enough yet, so I set her at the table with us and Baby Stella. Her Baby Stella is a beautiful little doll with a magnetic pacifier and clothes to dress her in. Plus she can change her diaper and check out Baby Stella’s fingers and toes and belly button that are just like her own! The Manhattan Toy Company is the company that makes Baby Stella and they have several options for appearances as well as additional clothes and toys.

So on to the games!

Playing Akin is pretty faced past once you get the hang of it. You match up “quality” cards with “object” cards to form a set of 3 cards. The player who has the most sets after 10 rounds win the game! The young ones do need to be able to read to play, but otherwise, it’s all about fast thinking and being able to explain your rationale when it comes to how your sets of cards relate together.

The other family game is called Running with the Bulls. It requires 2-6 players so there’s plenty of spots for us to fill, and it definitely helps if the younger players in the group are able to read on their own. But it doesn’t hurt for a little help from other game players!! This game has the players running from the bulls through the streets, trying to reach the coast. With a roll of the dice and a well timed action card, you try to beat the bulls and other runners!
