Almost all the kids I know love to build with building bricks like Legos. Brixo has come onto the scene to add more to the fun of creating. The Brixo blocks can create circuits using specific blocks to power lights, sounds, and even motors. Now you can learn about electricity and how a circuit needs to be set up while playing.
About Brixo
Brixo electric bricks are able to safely conduct electricity. They are powered by a low voltage Bluetooth controlled built-in battery brick. Therefore they can connect to your phone and enable you to do all sorts of neat things with your designs. Plus they are coated in chrome which is a non-toxic metal to ensure safety. Brixo bricks include motor blocks, light sensors, proximity sensors, sound sensors, and LED lights. Furthermore they will work with the building block sets you already own, so you do not have to buy several Brixo kits to join in the fun.
Using Brixo blocks
It was easy to make the circuits with these blocks by using the instructions the set came with. There are specific ways the blocks need to meet in order to pass the electricity on to the next block. I love that this will make the children think as they explore new ideas and creations. My kids and I were able to get the LED light to glow which made us so proud of ourselves. First we put the sound sensor on and the light would not light. Then we were able to figure out that the blocks were clearly marked and it was our fault the LED stayed dark.
Mom’s Thoughts
I really like the way the chrome covered bricks look. The bricks just look so neat before you do anything with them. Then when you get to build and see things light up or see a motor spin a wheel it is just awesome. My son loves to build and create with blocks, and these are a very cool addition to his block collection. I cannot wait to see what impressive creations he will design. Most noteworthy is the fact that Brixo can work with other brands. I love that because it opens up such a vast creative front since my son owns a bunch of other blocks already.
