There is no such thing as “exercises for women” and “exercises for men”. However, male gym-goers are much more likely to gravitate to the weight room while many female gym-goers make a beeline to the inner thigh machine. This doesn’t have to be the case. If you’re a brand new mom who wants to lose the baby weight to get rid of that loose body skin and stretch marks, this article will give you 5 exercises that you can do at the gym or even at home to tone your beautiful body.
- Dumbbell Bulgarian Split Squat (Glutes)
This particular exercise focuses mainly on your glutes, but will also give you lean abs that will rid you of your belly fat, as well as give you a muscled lower back. To do the squat, hold some dumbbells at your sides with a chair or ottoman behind you. The toes of one foot should rest on the chair or ottoman. Bend your standing leg and lower your body. Stand back up when your back knee is somewhat close to the floor. Do about a dozen reps per leg.
- Sumo Stiff-Legged Deadlift (Hamstrings)
A wonderful exercise that can get rid of those varicose veins and so you can skip a visit to the Ivein Vein Center, you can do this at home or the gym. Keep a wide stance with your legs behind a set of barbells. Point your toes at a 45-degree angle. Lean down at your hips and grab the barbell with a strong, shoulder-width grasp. Slightly bend your knees with a flat back and the barbell situated close to the bottom of your legs. Pull up the bar and straighten both of your legs. When the barbell bar is in front of your thigh area, lower the bar to the ground. Repeat.
- Incline Hammer Curl (Biceps)
To get rid of those pesky spider veins in your arms, include incline hammer curls as part of your workout. Lie on an incline bench with two dumbbells. Make sure your arms are hanging with the dumbbells parallel to the floor. Curl the dumbbells up with your arms. Squeeze your biceps, then bring your arms back down to the starting position. Do 3 sets of a dozen reps.
- Exercise Ball Tuck (Abs)
Get an exercise ball and get into a push-up position. Your feet should be on top of the ball. Put your body in a line from your shoulders to your heels. Extend your arms from the floor. Contract your core and pull so that your knees are pulled into your chest. Once this is done, extend your legs to the starting place. Do three sets of 25 reps.
- Overhead Triceps Extension (Triceps)
Sit on a bench while holding an EZ Bar. Hold the bar over your head with fully extended arms. Bending your elbows, lower the EZ bar behind you. When the bar is behind your neck, straighten out your arms and go back to the starting position. Make sure your elbows are locked at the top. Do 3-4 sets of 10 reps.
By incorporating these 5 moves into your daily workout, you can do a lot towards ridding yourself of such embarrassing problems as spider veins, varicose veins, and loose body skin. With some persistence and patience, you can slowly but surely get back your amazing body.
