It’s no secret how badly I have longed for a pet, specifically a dog. I try not to influence my children when it comes to this topic. But as most young children do, they long for an animal to call their own. Not only do our schedules keep us a little bit too busy to properly love and care for a dog, but allergies are no stranger to our family.
If one of your family members has allergies, having a furry friend in the house may be out of the question. However, your kids shouldn’t have to miss out on the experience of having a dog, just because of allergies; instead, your family can get a Woofpup – a cute cuddly plush pup based on the winner real dog, that you can help select!
Woofpup.com is a new online engagement site for families and dog lovers to connect and share stories and photos of their loveable pups – and it comes with a monthly treat! Families can play on the site together and help choose the next “Woofpup of the Month” – the pup to be turned into a stuffed animal each month! Then, your family can collect your favorite pups – or subscribe to automatically receive six months’ worth of pups as a Premium Member – so your kids can still have a cute and cuddly friend to play with, even with dog allergies! Modeled after a real live pup with its own story, each soft, plush Woofpup of the Month is available for purchase online for $29.95 (or discounted to $19.95 each when purchased as part of the six-month subscription service) and is adorned with a personalized nametag and Woofpup logo embroidered on its paw.
As I mentioned, at this time in our life, it’s not a good time to have a pet of any sort because of our schedules. More importantly, though, is our health. With allergies affecting us, it wouldn’t be a wise choice to have a pet that would carry dander and hair, making us sneeze, wheeze, and itch. I think Woofpup is such a genius idea! Not only does it come in the cutest box, it comes with a name already. Sure, some of the fun in having a pet is naming it. However, this eliminates one of those typical sibling arguments with my children! It’s made of the softest fabric and faux fur, complete with a dog collar and tag. It’s small enough for a child’s hands and just the right size to cuddle with.
The only thing I might change is getting an additional one for my children. I was really pleased with Woofpup. It’s definitely something you should consider for your child, niece, nephew, or special little one in your life.
We have added Woofpup to our Christmas Gift Guide.
