Additional Disclosure: This post and giveaway were made possible by iConnect and Dreft. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.
The first time my husband and I setup a baby registry we went a little too far and tagged everything in the baby department. Our baby registry didn’t give our friends and family any idea what we really needed for our new arrival — to be honest, we didn’t know what we needed either!
Six babies and sixteen years later, I think I’m a little better at creating a baby registry than I was when we began our #amazinghood journey. The most important thing I learned is not to put multiple styles of the same item or baby clothing on your registry. Family and friends are going to buy clothing regardless.
Why say no to multiple items? The purpose of your registry is to highlight items you need that may otherwise go unnoticed. If you request three highchairs on your list, nobody is going to know which one you want. Research, discuss, and decide before you add to your registry.

Dreft Baby Shower with Sean & Catherine Lowe
Behind the Scenes at the Dreft “Loads of Love” Baby Shower
Sean and Catherine Lowes’ parenting journey and partnership with Dreft commenced at their Dreft “Loads of Love” baby shower (on April 27th) – where the couple was showered with all the love, support and essentials needed to prepare them for the arrival of their precious new baby.
When asked about their baby shower registry, Sean and Catherine stated that Dreft, #1 baby laundry detergent choice of pediatricians and the #1 dermatologist recommended brand for baby clothes, was one of the first things they added to their baby registry.
“My mom used it to wash my baby clothes so it feels good to follow a wise tradition to wash all of the baby items with a gentle, hypoallergenic and effective detergent that has been trusted for over 80 years. Dreft was one of the first things we put on our baby registry and are having a blast preparing for the baby’s arrival by setting up the nursery and washing all of the baby’s linens and clothes in Dreft Newborn Detergent. The wonderful baby scent of Dreft on all of the onesies is really getting us excited to hold baby in our arms!”
