New Movie Additions for Your Family’s Collection

March 15, 2016 by Pam Maynard

A movie night is one of the best ways to spend a little of time relaxing as a family. However, choosing the right movie isn’t always easy. If you have a well-established home movie collection, though, you will never be hard-pressed to select a good movie that the whole family can enjoy. So, consider adding these movies to your collection and even more time as a family.

Popcorn, reel of film, 3D glasses and clapboard

Babe

With a message that reminds children and adults alike to “always follow your heart,” you really can’t go wrong with this classic. Babe presents the story of a piglet who loses its mother and is then raised by all of the other animals on the farm until he discovers his life calling: herding sheep. Kids love the talking animals, and parents love the heartfelt message.

Shrek

The original is always the best, isn’t it? The same holds true for this fun tale of an ogre who ends up falling in love. The message in this one is a great reminder that if you love yourself, others will too. And, children love all of the fun twist on this classic fairy tale while parents can enjoy all of the fun, snarky pop-culture references.

The Incredibles

What could be better on family movie night than a fun movie about a family who is a little, well, incredible? This fun movie is a good reminder to kids that parents are people too, and they’ll love watching how Mr. and Mrs. Incredible return from retirement to save the planet with the help of their kids.

Happy Feet

Almost every child can relate to feeling different at some point, and this movie is great for reminding kids that that feeling is okay. Mumble, a penguin who can really dance, doesn’t sing like all the other penguins. In the end, though, Mumble finds his fit with a different group of friends and learns that everybody really does have something unique to offer.

There are tons of movies out there, but finding them can sometimes be a different story. One of the best places to find and purchase family movies is online. Shopping online, at places like Pristine Sales, provides you greater variety, better prices, and more availability. So, if you are looking for new movies for your family, be sure to look online too.

A well-established family movie collection provides the opportunity for endless memories of time spent enjoying with family. Check out these movies and be sure to look online for other family-friendly movies.
