Open Season, Scared Silly
The characters from the movie, Open Season, which premiered 10 years ago, are back for another adventure. This time Elliot, Boog, Mr. Weenie and Gezelle star in Open Season, Scared Silly, are on the hunt for a werewolf in the Timberline forest, in Haunted Dead Bear Gulch.
Legend has it, the werewolf is hidden in the Timberline Forest. Elliot wants to help Boog become as brave as he can be so they can go on a camping trip. The best friends’ friendship is on the line, but of course Gazelle is there to smooth things over.
Shaw, the hunter turned tour guide, is also on the hunt for the werewolf. He teams up with a pair of Minnesota-sounding folks and together they chase the friends through the woods, in an exciting, funny story that will keep you laughing.
Shaw and his compadres dress up as werewolves to make it through the Gulch. They were hoping to find the werewolf, but because Open Season was cancelled forever, they used the excuse to hunt the werewolf in order to kill Boog, Elliot and the crew.
Boog eventually uses his inner strength in order to defeat Shaw and his gang of hunters. “Friends don’t abandon friends!”, Elliot’s motto, stands as a constant throughout this movie. The sheriff steps in and arrests the horrible Shaw and offers Boog his home in town back, which Boog turns down so that he can go camping with Elliot.
I laughed every time the poor little bunnies were used as towels, when the crazy military ducks do their stunts and when Ian says, “I called him Smelliot!” I believe the original was better, but this one definitely made me laugh, especially when the REAL werewolf makes his appearance.
Releasing March 8, Open Season, Scared Silly is so funny. You and your children will enjoy all the fun antics, dancing and singing. The songs featured in this cartoon are great and are guaranteed to make you and your child watch Open Season, Scared Silly over and over again.
