Go Green This Valentine’s Day
I use straws a lot, sometimes more than one per day. I make ice coffee at home, and need a straw. I try to drink lots of water each day, and need a new straw for that. I feel like I am always trying to hunt straws down at the store. Most of the time they are randomly placed on clip strips. I waste time and of course I dispose of a lot of straws. I have tried plastic re-useable straws, but really do not trust that they are in fact clean. When I saw Glass Dharma, I was really excited to have found a solution.
About Glass Dharma
Plastic in our landfills is a huge problem. Many single-use plastics are made and thrown away, ending up in landfills or the ocean. This problem can feel overwhelming, but at Glass Dharma they focus on what they do best. Since single-use plastics are one of the biggest contributors to plastic pollution, they can help remedy that problem with their glass straws.
Would you believe that enough plastic straws are produced annually to fill over 46 THOUSAND full sized school buses!
Being environmentally conscious means we all have to look for ways to help our world. Our fast-paced, disposable lifestyle is bad for our health and for the environment. I liked that this was a small, easy change that I could do. I will use and reuse my Glass Dharma straws.
I love the cool etching on the straws. I have one that says “Joy” and one that says “Love”. They have cleaning brushes that you can get for each of their straw sizes to make sure you get anything out of them.
Best of all they are dishwasher safe and our guaranteed for life against breakage. Now when I put my tumbler in the dishwasher I can also place my straw in and the next day, and I will be ready to go.
The kids can use them as well, since they are not going to break with every day use, and if they do break, they are guaranteed. They come in various styles, diameters, and lengths. You can make a difference one sip at a time.
This also opened my eyes to when I go out to eat. There is no reason I need a straw every where I go. I think I will start to request no straws while out, and at home I will happily use my glass straws. If you are a die hard straw lover, you could take your Glass Dharma straw with you when out to eat. They even sell cute carry cases to protect your straw during travel.
Are you ready to make a difference in the world you love, by getting some glass straws?
