Why I Like Drop Stop:
Ever since I got my new Jeep Renegade, my son has been dropping his iPhone between the seat and the center console. Not sure why- my VW Tiguan had the same kind of gap, maybe a little wider and he never lost his phone in the crack.
I know I drop things in that gap to nowhere a few times a week- it might just be a pen or chapstick, but its still a pain trying to retrieve it. And- it is very unsafe to try to get things out of the crack while driving!
When I was asked to review the Drop Stop, I wondered why someone hadn’t thought of this sooner! I knew that I had to have some- especially since my son had dropped his phone in the crack the same day.
The Drop Stops themselves are a simple design and are very easy to install. My Jeep Renegade didn’t have a very big crack, so I had to struggle a little bit to squeeze it in between the car seat back and the console. I am planning on putting my other pair in my Hubby’s truck. That will be much easier as his has a bigger crack. 🙂
I like that they are black and the material is stretchy and easy to clean. The black matches my interior and you can hardly tell they are in the crack. The stretchy material is Neoprene- the same material used in wet suits and more. The Drop Stops are very durable. I was really stretching the material to squeeze it into the gap and it held up perfectly.
