I want to nominate my local shelter. The Forrest City Area Humane Society is 501c3 organization. They are a small group of volunteers who work tirelessly out of a rural town animal shelter in Forrest City, Arkansas. Their mission is to save as many dogs as possible to keep the euthanasia rate down. This is done either by adopting dogs out to a new home, or finding rescues to take them. Because they are located in a rural low income area, funds as well as food are desperately needed.
