If your family spends anytime near the beach or playgrounds or even hiking, your car will get dirty. Not only does it get dirty, but there is ONE tiny thing that never leaves: SAND!
Sand is a beast to get out of a carpet. It doesn’t matter how many times you go over it, the sand pops right back up to the top! Instead of giving up, try these five steps to get it all out:
Step 1. Remove all debris from floorboard. This includes trash, lint, anything you can pickup with your hands quickly.
Step 2. Using a rubber mallet, tap the floor to encourage dirt to rise to the top of your carpet. Once your tapping stops bringing up new sand/dirt, you are ready to vacuum.
Step 3. Vacuum in one direction then go back over the same area again in the opposite direction. When you go against the natural grain of the carpet it will push sand towards the top of the carpet.
