MINIONS are back with their OWN MOVIE (how exciting)! I have loved the Minions since they made their debut in the film Despicable Me. Now they are going to be on their own and my family is super excited. Judging by the trailer this movie, we are all in for a fun time and is sure to keep everyone laughing. I was laughing just watching the trailer.
Have you ever wondered where the Minions come from? That’s what this film is about. The Minions have always been on Earth and have always been looking for a evil leader to follow. You follow the Minions throughout their history and the many leaders they followed. We track them from the days of Dinosaurs to the 60’s. They have many evil leaders that just doesn’t work out for them, so they keep looking for the right one. Now that they are in the 60’s the minions find themselves without a leader. This causes a great depression among the Minions. Now it is up to Kevin, Bob, and Stuart to save the day. Kevin schemes up a plan to save his fellow Minions by traveling from Antarctica to New York and eventually modern London.
It is in New York they meet there new leader Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock). Scarlet has a plan to steal the Queen’s crown. So the Minions are off to London on a chatic mission to save there fellow Minions from annilihation. Look for this funny family film in theaters July 10,2015.
The story of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters—from T. rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression.
But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he—alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob—ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow.
The trio embarks upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the world’s first-ever female super-villain. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind…from annihilation.
Featuring a soundtrack of hit music from the ’60s that still permeates our culture today, Minions is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda. Brian Lynch has written the screenplay for the 3D-CG comedy adventure, and Chris Renaud serves as executive producer of the film. www.minionsmovie.com
