My Review:
I have been dreaming of owning my own Keurig since I started blogging! I was beside myself when I was given a chance to review a Keurig Office Pro from Staples! Keurig has an excellent reputation for quality products and customer support. I was lucky to be able to experience both. I had a little difficulty with my brewer, Keurig took care of it quickly and professionally. What more could you ask for?
When I received my Keurig, I removed it from the box and assembled it quickly. There was not much to assemble, mainly add water to the reservoir (after rinsing it out), put the drip tray on and then follow directions to prime/ready my brewer for use. My son was very helpful, he read the instructions and made sure I did it correctly.
After it was readied, I made my very first cup of Keurig coffe in MY OWN house! My Keurig can with a variety of K-cups so I was able to make a cup for my hubby as well. It was HOT (one of my hubby’s pet peeves, coffee is never hot enough for him), delicious and like a caffeine nectar of life!
The Keurig is super easy to use. Put a K-cup in the chamber, put the handle down, pick a cup size and brew! No more waiting 15 minutes for the whole pot to finish brewing. When you originally turn it on, it does have to warm up the water, but by the time you put your K-cup, find a coffee cup and place it on the tray, it’s ready to go! That was really easy!
Overall, the Keurig is one of the best inventions since the Microwave (who can live without a microwave?). Its intuitively simple to use, makes hot coffee, obviously makes fresh coffee and it our house, it reduces waste. We rarely drink the entire pot of coffee that I make before I go to work. Or we drink too much coffee. If you are trying to cut back on coffee, the Keurig is perfect for you too. You can keep track of how many cups you drink with the Keurig. With a coffee pot, your cup is endless! I love that it will accommodate my travel mug. I never drive to work without coffee!
Keurigs are not just for coffee. My son uses it to get hot water for his oatmeal. He uses it to get hot water for his coca mix. He uses it make Ramon noodles. Of course, you can get k-cups with hot coco, but I would rather keep my machine clean and not put sticky coco in the brewer.
I use it for hot tea as well. They do make k-cups for tea, but I love the whole tea bag dunking so I can determine the strength of my tea.
I’m sure we will come up with more creative ways to use the Keurig in the near future. Besides fabulous coffee – the Caffeine elixir of life, what else would you use your Keurig for?
