Do you have a creative child in your home, or do you know one? Maybe you have a child who could use a break from technology. Really any child would benefit from a creative experience. ArtsBot Kits make this so easy, because everything your child needs for a particular craft is included in each kit. Most Noteworthy is that these kits are made to travel, so no more long boring car rides, or plane trips glued to a screen.
About ArtsBot
ArtsBot was created by a mother of two who has traveled the world, and has seen too many bored, agitated, and exhausted children along the way. It is a solution for families on the go, so they do not have to resort to digital screens to soothe, silence, and distract.
These easy, fun, travel craft kits are made to be compact, tidy, simple, safe, and easy to take along. More importantly all the materials were chosen to be safe for your children and the environment. Even the markers are special, since they are free of latex, dairy, casein, egg, gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy.
Hair We Go
In the Hair We Go kit you can make three headbands, and four hair clips with various supplies. They can be wrapped in Washi tape, or wrapped in yarn. There is ribbon and buttons, jewels, flowers, and glue dots. This kit was a lot of fun for my daughter and me to do. It is also cool that now she has things she can wear that she made.
Arm Candy
In the Arm Candy kit you can make various style bangles, using buttons, yarn, Washi tape, jewels, and beads. You can see the cute canvas bag that comes with the kit to make travel and storage easy. Plus all the kits come with a postcard, markers, a sketch book to design their creations, and markers. In the picture below you can see my daughter wearing her bangle and headband she created.
Positive Vibes
The Positive Vibes Kit came with three wooden shapes with magnets already on them to color and design. As well as markers, you can decorate them with Washi tape and jewels. We had fun with this kit, and have some pretty magnets on the fridge now.
Clay With Me
The Clay With Me kit was my favorite! It comes with three colors of air dry clay, some clay tools, and a waxed linen cord for necklaces. This clay was super soft and extremely light and airy. It was very easy to work with and we were able to make several creations from it. My kids did some real cool color mixing to make pink and light mint. My daughter made a pendant to hang, that she will color a design on at some point. The clay dries real light weight too, so it would be fine to wear as a necklace. The possibilities are endless!
ArtsBot has several other kits to pick from including:Block Party (designing wooden blocks), Button Parade (making jewelry from buttons), Ride the Wave (wooden magnets geared toward boys), Totes Amazing ( design your own totebag), and True Colors (a color scratch art kit).
Artsbot wants to inspire viral creativity across the universe!
For every child that shares their kit on Twitter or Instagram with #BoHeart. They will donate kits to a charity in New York for kids in need.
Mom’s Thoughts
These kits were in fact not messy. My daughter had the table covered while she created , but then it was all put up and there were no stains or messes to cope with. All these kits would be perfect travel companions to children. We are about to take a trip to Virginia which is about four hours away. She will bring the Arm Candy kit because she has many more bracelets to create. That will keep her entertained for a good chuck of the ride. I also love how the instructions are short and sweet, leaving the kids to have to be creative to best use their resources. She would try an idea and if it didn’t work she would start over. This is teaching them good life skills.
Which kits will you get before your next long trip?
