My family loves grilling but we enjoy it even more when we can do it from anywhere. With the Weber® Q® 1200™ Portable Gas Grill we can do that. We can take this great gas grill with us camping, to family functions, the park, wherever we want. We like that we can use the smaller camping gas tank with it, these takes are much cheaper and easier to change.
What We Love:
I like the Weber® Q® 1200™ because it is easy to start and control the heat. This grill heats super fast – 5 minutes later it is READY to grill! I don’t know that I have ever been able to add food to the grill so quickly before!
I also like that I don’t need to battle the flame in windy weather. I cooked a meal last week during the windiest day of the summer and the flame stayed and didn’t burn out (impressive).
Although this grill is portable and easy to store, it still offers a reasonable cooking area. Even as a family of eight, we never have trouble cooking everything we need on it.
My husband wanted me to mention that he hasn’t had any grease fires yet. I attribute this to two features in the design. The first, is because removable drip pan is wide enough that waste falls out of the bottom keeping the interior of the grill cleaner. But I also attribute fewer fires to having smaller gaps in the cooking grate. With the spaces being narrow, we aren’t losing our veggies nearly as often as we do on other grills.
In regards to the appearance and portability, I really love the color, it is bright and fun. The two folding table tops on each side allow us plenty of space to work, set plates and grilling utensils.
Do you need the cart? While the cart is separate, we think the collapsible cart really gives us more freedom because we don’t have to worry if the location we are going will have a table top, or ample room for us to put the grill on for cooking.
