My Thoughts
Installing the Yale Assure Lock SL (YRD256) was very easy. My husband had it all set up in just a few minutes! We gave each of my children a specific code which allows them to get in to the house easily. I love the lock feature where we can lock our home with just a touch of the screen! I also love that we can go on walks without having to bring keys with us on our walk.

The SmartThings Hub by Samsung allows you to control your home from anywhere in the world. Connecting the Hub is easy. All you do is download the App, plug the power cord in, connect the ethernet cord from the hub to the router and you are all set. From there, the app will walk you through each step to help you set up anything with Smart technology that is in your home. Once you are set up (which even a technical novice can handle), you can then control your home from an app!

What We Love About the Samsung SmartThings Hub
We connected the SmartThings Hub to the Yale lock. Now, no matter where we are, we can unlock our door right from our phones. Do you have any clue how nice that is when you know you will have your hands full of groceries or when it is raining cats and dogs and you don’t want to be stuck fidgeting with keys to get in?
We love how regardless of where we are, we can unlock the door. My parents visit occasionally from Georgia. There have been a few times where they have come to visit and we have not made it home yet. Having the combination of the Yale Lock and the SmartThings Hub, we can give them instant access to get inside our home.
We also love how much of a safety feature it is to be able to lock the door from another room. If we hear someone pull up, we can instantly lock the door if it has been left unlocked. No more having to get close to a door to lock it when I have no clue who might be on the other side of the door.
