Have Mighty Fun! this Summer #review #MDRSummerFun

July 21, 2017 by Pam Maynard

Summer is here and the kids are out of school. What do you do with them when you’re not at the beach or at a waterpark? I know Mighty Fun! Games has the solution to this incredible dilemma. These games are fun, sturdy and because there are no batteries, electricity or internet needed, Mighty Fun! Games can be played with anywhere, anytime.

I didn’t ever think in a million years that I would be like my mama and tell the kids to “Go outside and play!” But, in all honesty, I’ve done that a time or two. Seeing my children spend beautiful days in front of the television or attached to their cell phones makes me sad. I long for the days where I would go outside and build towns out of the dirt and scoot metal toy cars around. Of course, I’m a girl and make little businesses in my cities like day care and grocery stores and then drove my toy Camaro to them. My kids just don’t understand the fun in that.

So when I discovered Mighty Fun! Games, I realized that it may be a little late for my own kids (they are teenagers now), but not for my nieces and nephews. I have a few great games from Mighty Fun! that I am going to share with them.

Mischief Maker – An authentic wooden slingshot, this a truly a great toy! The fun part about this sling shot is that it shoots foam balls (it comes with five). They are safe, but so much fun. I’ve actually caught my kids off guard and attacked them with it. Then my husband started hiding around corners…you can only imagine the “war” that ensued.

Pirate Wooden Sword and Shield Set – One of my favorite memories of my son is when he went through his pirate stage. Every thing was Arrrrrrggghhhh! He was so funny. He loved the shields and swords. I like this specific set because it’s not only made of sturdy wood, it’s surrounded with a soft foam. It’s colorful and all ready for a high seas adventure.

Cosmic Checkers – This fun, all wood construction, is a spin on the classic checkers game. It’s an out of this world experience. If your children like the moon and sun, this game is for them. They can play checkers and pretend they are beating each other to the moon and back.

Mighty Fun! Games has something for everyone. Check them out online and all social media outlets.
