Removing Stains with Melamine Erasers

One of the most tedious things is to remove stains from your clothes, table covers, and shoes. Every time there is a stain, you probably start wondering how to get rid of it. Recently, a lot of products have surfaced in the market that promise complete stain removal easily. Products, like magic erasers and easy erasing pads have become available and, are very effective stain removers. But, what is it that makes them such good removers of stain? Well, it is the melamine foam. Read on to know more –
- Composition – The composition of melamine erasers is completely different from other kinds of stain cleaners. While the other kinds of stain cleaners require soap or other liquid cleaners for the cleaning, you can use melamine foam just directly with water. This technical foam is an excellent stain cleaner and does not require any additional amount of soap.
- Chemical Structure – Although melamine foam looks like any other foam, one has to understand the intrinsic chemical structure of the material. Melamine resin seeps into the foam, causing the material to become so hard, almost like glass material. This makes them work well on stained surfaces. This is a unique kind of open cell foam.
Only a small amount of casing remains in place and the strands are located at the edges of the air packets, in case of melamine foam, making it flexible and reusable. The individual strands are thin and slender making the whole process of bending and erasing the foam, smooth and flexible.
- Open Structure – The other important feature of the melamine foam is the cavity ridden open structure of melamine foam. This kind of structure acts as a huge boost to the functioning of the melamine foam making it an excellent eraser.
It was mentioned earlier about the hard nature of melamine foam. If the melamine foam is hard in nature, how is it foam at all? It is a special kind of open cell foam and it is due to the open microscopic structure of the melamine that makes it such a good remover of stain.
- Empty Cavity Spaces – Stains on substances that have extremely hard microscopic filaments can be removed very easily with the help of melamine foams. You just need a few strokes of the melamine foam for the stains start come out. This is probably possible because of the empty cavity spaces of melamine foam. The air that occupies the space between the skeletal strands of the melamine foam sucks up the stains. In this manner, melamine foam becomes the perfect stain remover.
Although melamine foams remove stains as if magically, they do not last long. . The magic stain removing pads that are made out of melamine foams wear out very fast. Like normal pencil erasers, these melamine foams wear out very quickly and hence they have to be replaced frequently.
But this is just a small hitch that does not really matter considering that stain removing is so easy now.
