About Lucky Dog:
In this Emmy Award winning series, animal trainer Brandon McMillan’s second home is the neighborhood animal shelter where he is determined to rescue hard-to-love, out-of control, untrained and unadoptable dogs. Then, back at Brandon’s training facility known as the Lucky Dog Ranch, he embarks on the seemingly impossible task of turning the frightened pooches into perfect pets. In the end, a lucky family will adopt an even luckier dog, making each episode an adoption story that warms the heart.
A brand new heart-warming Lucky Dog episode will air on Saturday, March 11, 2017. This episode features a rescue dog named Dakota, who finds his forever home with a great yard, thanks to trainer Brandon McMillan.
Dakota, a Malamute mix, is looking for a home.
This Saturday’s episode includes an appearance by Kris Kiser, president and CEO of OPEI. Check out the video clips! The clips show Kiser working with the adoptive family to ensure their yard is ready for Dakota and talking about the value of a living landscape. He also discusses using adaptive plantings to mitigate the heat island effect.
Superheroes TurfMutt & the Outdoor Powers are on a mission to teach students and their teachers and families backyard science, including how to take better care of the green spaces around them and the importance of living landscapes.
