Easy Baked Ziti!

baked-ziti-title

Baked Ziti is one of my favorite things to make for family get togethers or just for a delicious dinner for our family.  It makes a 13 x 9 Pan and you will have delicious leftovers to enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • Box of Ziti Noodles
  • 1 lb of Ground Beef (you can use sausage instead)
  • 10 ounce container of Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups of Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
  • Pasta Sauce – I just used 2 jars of Ragu
  • Seasonings for the Ground Beef

Directions:

First, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil and start the Ziti cooking. Drain and set aside.

Then, brown the ground beef in a non-stick skillet , using spices that your family likes.

Drain the grease off the Ground Beef.

Mix in pasta sauce of your choice.

In a 13 x 9 Pan, layer meat sauce, cheeses, noodles until you have filled the pan.  Be sure to cover the top with Mozzarella Cheese and Parmesan.  I covered the top with foil so it wouldn’t dry out or burn the cheese.

Bake the Ziti for 20 minutes at 350 degrees while covered.

Removed foil and bake another 15 minutes until cheese is brown and the Ziti is bubbling.

Let the pan sit for 10 minutes.  Serve with Garlic Bread and enjoy!
